BOSTON SOCIETY
OF VULCANS
OF MASS INC

Welcome to the Boston Society
of Vulcans web site.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on empowering people in need through education and support in the area of fire & public safety, prevention and employment into the fire service.

In existence for thirty years, we have shown a commitment to our mission through community based programs and events that benefit residents in and around the area of Boston Massachusetts.

The primary beneficiaries of our programs are young adults between 18-32 seeking employment, children, the elderly, low-income families and firefighters of color.

We are part of a national organization, called the International Association of Black Professional Firefighters, that has chapters throughout the United States, Caribbean, Africa, Europe, Central and South America.

We offer small grants and college scholarships, turkeys to needy families at thanksgiving, CPR, first aide and fire safety training, recruitment for employment into the fire service, and new for 2002 a first time homebuyers IDA program, for low- income families and organizations in the Boston Area.

Our next project that we are looking to bring to the community is a public safety training center. It will give us the opportunity to increase the current list of programs that we now provide, assist in preparing the community for future events or disasters, and for employment into the public safety field.
